CM: Stocking Stuffers

December 23, 2008

I know that since the recession popped off, folks have tightened up the belts to make ends meet. So I figured that I would give you the people some music to rock out to this Holiday season. NO, this is not a Christmas album, but its perfect to stuff in those stockings (pause). The link to download is below. Happy Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa from Me and A Better Tomorrow.

What up world!!!! Here we are again with another week of joints out of my stash. I appreciate everyone that has checked out the previous weeks and downloaded the tracks, good looks. Now, the 1st song, “California”  was recorded last year, Uneak and Beatsmith cooked up the beat for me. I figured we would put this one out because we have some things in store later on so might as well let people hear the old one. The next song is Mass Appeal 2009, you already know the remix is comin, so I wanted to let you peep the original. If you downloaded the album to the right, you would have heard this, do that if you havent.

I will cop a Wii, just to play this game.

Ummm Everything? ESPN just posted a piece on the legacy of the game and the man himself, Iron Mike.  That game is still the greatest boxing video game EVER, eff what you heard. Peep it:

I still remember where I was the first time I saw Mike Tyson hit the canvas. No, not at the hands of Buster Douglas. I’m referring to when my friend Mike “Buzz” Bartholomew laid out the seemingly unbeatable animated Mike Tyson of “Punch-Out!!” fame. It was the summer of 1987, in the basement of my Billings, Mont., boyhood home. It felt as though we were witnessing history. It was a scene played out on Nintendo NES consoles everywhere. Beating Tyson was a victory so satisfying that two decades later, gamers of the time still talk about taking down the champ. “It took me two months to figure out Tyson’s knockout punch, but when I did, it was all over,” says Bartholomew, now an IT specialist. Sure, boxing was a much more mainstream sport 20 years ago, but lots of video games came and went (“Ring King,” anyone?), so why does Punch-Out!! live on in our collective pop culture memory? It starts with Kid Dynamite himself.

Wow, things have really started to pick up lately eh?  I went to check out the past weeks of the Two for One and I see that the downloads have gone up. If you have checked any of the material out, I appreciate it and there’s plenty more where that came from. Haaaa. Today’s gems are more heat from Me and J Trax of course. The first song “I Ask Myself” was produced by me and the second “My Surroundings” was produced by Trax the beast. Both of these were recorded early last year. Check em out and enjoy.

Classic In The Making…

December 8, 2008

Yea last night Me, Shawn Jackson, El Prez and Tunji made something that will most certainly make some noise when we finally put it out. For those not in the know, or those that haven’t listened to my album yet *cough* RIGHT COLUMN *cough* I hopped on a beat that my man J Keys made remaking Mass Appeal. Last night me and my fellow emcees remade it again for 2009. Everyone went in,  I cant even begin to do it justice with a description, so just stay tuned, trust me. Shouts to Shake, Eazee, Shawn Jack, Dale Danja, Prez, Tunji and L4 and Polyester for letting us come thru and lace this joint.
